Food Ministry

Central church hosts a weekly food rescue distribution for the community on Friday morning from 11:45 am to 12:30 pm. This takes place in the Interface Room on the main floor. We pick up donated food that would otherwise go to waste and distribute it to those in need both in the community and beyond.
We are grateful for donations from local food banks and community partners that support our food ministry.
Everyone is welcome to participate. We encourage you to bring your own shopping bag or cart, and a clean container. Additionally, small contributions to help local food banks with their distribution efforts are greatly appreciated. This is a wonderful way to give back!

Volunteer Opportunity
Do you have a desire to help others in our community? Connect with others?
The Greek Aristotle once said that the essence of life is "to serve others and do good".
How serving and helping each other benefits not just others but ourselves, too.
Volunteering is important as it offers essential help to worthwhile causes, people in need, and the wider community.

CENTRAL COMMUNITY PARTNERS
The food rescue donations come from various sources such as the local food bank and business community partners. Each is a great organization saving foods that would have ended up in enormous quantity in landfills. Their generous donations for our weekly food distribution only made it possible by their supports.
Together as a community we strive to raise fund throughout the year to support our local food bank and community partners. One hundred percent of the collected contribution is donated back to support their steep costs of operations.
Here at Central we believe in working together and supporting one another.
