Meet the Rev. Calum MacLeod

I was born in Goderich, Ontario but spent most of my life living in Hamilton. My legal name is Malcolm, but my paternal grandmother said that Malcolm is too old for a baby – use the Gaelic equivalent Calum, that’s how I’m known.

After having taught for 27 years, I finally answered the call to ministry and entered Knox College in 1998. It was going to be an adventure with 3 children and myself in university, but we managed.

In 2002, I was called to Gordon Presbyterian Church. I’ve spent 22 years as a minister of word and sacrament, 20 at Gordon Presbyterian Church and 2 at Trinity Presbyterian Church (amalgamation of Gordon, Knox and St Aidan’s Presbyterian Churches).

I retired from ministry January 1, 2025 and began another adventure – retirement...
